Recipes for Your Table

A good RPG session works a little like a dinner party, and the best of both have food. So why don't rule-books come with recipes?

This module pairs well with doritos and twiglets, and a side of Monster energy drink.

Of course, the RPG community, that socially malformed mass of cretins who couldn't wipe their own snot off their face, will need some basic safety tips.

Remember to ask the players about their diets. Remember to ask if they're vegan, or have any allergies.

That's right - it was all a metaphor, so I can make further complaints about the ridiculous notion of safety-rules wandering around the hobby, with copyright laws attached (X-cards are licensed CC-SA 3.0).

Random people on the internet do not know the group, and have no more business telling people how to run their game than any other stranger. Everyone who writes theses things has 100% less information than the people at the table.

And at least recipes might actually get followed by people who like food. But safety articles are read by people who spend time ensuring nobody feels uncomfortable, written for people who lack the basic common sense to know see how the room feels. The Venn-intersection of the readers and intended audience provides the only possible use for these articles, but the circles do not touch.
