Group Indecisions
Sometimes the party needs to make a decision as a group. Most of the time, in fact.
- The strange man beckons you to follow him
- The goblins spot you, and instantly retreat back into a hole in the hillside
You know the drill.
And sometimes, people perfectly capable of deciding what they want to do, will not make decisions for the group. That's quite understandable, but sometimes the entire group just stalls, unsure of what 'they' want to do. Discussion does not come easily, perhaps because nobody has a strong intuition one way or another, perhaps because they want someone else to speak first.
In these situations, I sometimes ask a random player 'what do you think everyone should do?'. But recently, I've been toying with the notion of rank.
BIND already has a very built-up notion of rank, and someone would be labelled 'the leader'. The group probably won't respect this decision, as it comes from a nonsensical hierarchy, but it still might function as a fall-back.
